One day the three of us were hanging out & the topic of Tradesy came up (this was before it became part of VC), & he told me that he would buy superfakes of currently trendy LV bags from Chinese sellers for a few hundred dollars .
I recently sold a bag on Tradesy. The bag is brand new, never been used and was purchased at Saks Fifth a couple weeks ago. The bag is absolutely in new condition with no marks or stains. However, the bag is in texture leather, not smooth leather.
I bought a bag from there and had it authenticated after and it was legit. I believe they’ve gotten a lot better about checking for authentication. But if you aren’t sure I’d just get it authenticated after and if it’s fake then you can report it to Tradesy.
If you want to buy a designer bag, I'd get it authenticated by a third party after receiving it. That said if the item is actually misrepresented (not just a return because you didn't like it), they do give you your money back instead of credit. I received a TB bag with an undisclosed defect and got a refund. They can't limit you to 4 days if you were sold a fake bag. Give them a call, let them know you suspect it's fake and I suggest you have it authenticated before making a claim that it's absolutely counterfeit.
